That's right, I'm a single guy. Julie Childs had a pegboard kitchen too, so don't knock it.
Just got my frig and chest freezer today and I'm feeling excited for a functioning kitchen. Still several projects to finish but it's all kinds of groovy to me already.
A vent/light is going above the stove with an open shelf above. An open shelf with lights underneath is going over the sink. Trim needs to go up. Kickboards under the base cabinets, a 10 inch wide trash can go next to the frig, and 2 outlets need to be slightly repositioned, but other than that I can start cooking all kinds of unhealthy creations.
The entire cabin has real wood walls that are stained dark like you see in the last/4th photo, so the pegboard did a ton to lighten up the kitchen.
I need to dig up the pictures from when I bought the place. There was no kitchen and we took out a window, replaced the plumbing with pex, and ran two new electrical circuits to make this happen.
